Pinwheel Blanket

My cousin M is six weeks younger than me and we have grown up together. When she announced she was pregnant I knew something special was necessary. I liked Julia’s so I thought I would make a Pinwheel Blanket.

Pattern: Pinwheel Blanket

Modifications: I loved this striping pattern so I tried to do something like it. I did a moss stitch border and then a picot edge. For the picot edge I cast on three more then bound off ten. I used the following pattern for the stripes: color A 20, color B 4, color A 16, color B 8, color A 12, color B 12, color A 8, color B 16, color A 4 (moss), color B 1 row moss and bind off.

Yarn: Rowan All Seasons Cotton in Pansy and Giddy (four of each)

Needles: Sz 8 KnitPicks Options

What I like: It’s done! Oh and washable. I like how the stripe pattern came out even though it’s not a lot like the inspiration.

What I would change: I would have bought more of the darker color. I bought four balls of each, I should have bought five of the darker color or even more to make it larger.
