Numerical Knitting

M-D Kimono

Sometimes special people have babies… this calls for special gifts! A Mason-Dixon Kimono paired with baby socks in matching Socks that Rock yarn fit the bill!

Pattern: Baby Kimono from Mason Dixon Knitting

Modifications: I used thinner yarn and stockinette so my gauge was all different. I also scaled everything up. I used a whole lot of math, none of which I wrote down, to adjust it. Basically used percentages to increase linear measures and used my gage to figure out row count increases. I did borders of garter stitch to avoid rolling. Also, I used snaps to close it!

Yarn: Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks that Rock heavyweight in Seal Rock

Needles: KnitPicks Options

What I like: It looks darling!

What I would change: Write down what I did…
